We Love Our Pets Too!
10% of all monies collected from visiting animals will be donated annually to the local Humane Society. This amounts to thousands of dollars each year which directly benefit the hundreds of animals that pass through the doors of the local shelter each year. By visiting the Golden Arrow with your beloved pet, you are helping these animals find loving homes!
In March of 2008, Jenn Holderied, Owner of the Golden Arrow presents Phyllis the yellow lab, with the check for $1,776.00 for the Humane Society. Phyliss is a regular guest of the Golden Arrow, visiting with her family annually (and sometime bi-annually). She enjoys long walks around Mirror Lake and napping in her dog bed. Phyliss has a very important job as a mother. Her puppies are trained as seeing-eye and assistance dogs.

The Golden Arrow family understands how wonderful it is to share an Adirondack vacation with your furry companion. We are pet lovers ourselves, yet we realize that, especially in unfamiliar settings, dogs will be dogs; despite a historical track record of exemplary behavior. We therefore happily allow you to share with your pet the creature comforts of your guest room provided they adhere to the following conditions:
All pets incur a $50 per pet, per week charge.

Failure to register a pet ("sneaking it in") will result in a $75 per pet charge.

In addition to the pet surcharge, a $100 per pet security deposit is required upon arrival. This deposit is refundable at the time of departure barring any unintentional property damage, "accidents," noise complaints, or disobedience of our leash law. Should your pet seriously damage an item of our property, you will be charged full replacement value. Chronic disturbance issues may result in our requiring you to take your pet(s) to a local kennel or being asked to check out.

When outside of their guest room on hotel property, pets must be on a leash at all times and owners must clean up after them.

Pets are not permitted to swim on the sandy beach area. Anyone's pet found running around wet or unleashed on the beach will forfeit the $100 deposit and or be asked to check out.

Pets are restricted to Deluxe Rooms located on the 3rd floor only. We do this to be able to assure other guests that may have pet allergies that no animal has been in any Suite or Specialty Room or any room on a floor besides the 3rd. PLEASE UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BRING YOUR PET TO THE ALLERGEN FREE FLOOR - FIRST FLOOR NORTH WING!

Pets are not to be left unattended in the room. If an emergency necessitates a pet being left in their room alone, the animal must be crated and a contact number given to the Front Desk. We reserve the right to refuse daily housekeeping to rooms in which a pet is left loose.
Please Do Not Feed The Ducks!
We realize they are cute, and they a phenomial beggers. However, when we feed the ducks, we directly effect thier food gathering behaviors. Instead of naturally forraging for food, they beg from warm hearted souls like you. Not only is our food not nutritionally sound for them, but thier migrations patterns are severly effected. If they do not migrate, they stay here all winter long. Many of these poor creatures have frozen or starved to death over our harsh winters.
We kove them & want them to survive. Please do your part by leaving them alone!
