In summer, our private white sand beach provides an excellent place to relax & enjoy the outdoor activities. With a magnificent panorama of the Adirondack Mountains relaxing has never been easier. Golden Arrow strives to provide the best in outdoor adventures. Children will love building sand castles. If you are feeling active you can explore the shoreline in one of our complimentary rowboats,canoes or paddleboats. Mirror Lake does not permit motorized craft on its waters, so swimmers can safely venture all the way across the lake if they choose. The motor ban also helps keep the waters of Mirror Lake pristine & clean.
In the afternoons, join Nick for some Arts & Crafts right on the beach! No advanced sign up required. Kids spend half an hour creating something wonderful to bring home & mom & dad get to spend that time soaking in the sun a few feet away!

The Golden Arrow's beach is made of crushed limestone.
This limestone helps keep Mirror Lake healthy by balancing the PH of
the water. This helps counteract the effects of acid rain
which is a serious problem in the Adirondack Park.
In the snowy months, the beach is transformed into a winter wonderland. Bring your skates & glide on the frozen lake. Experience the rush of a thrilling dog sled ride! Rooms on the first floor become ski-in/ski-out lodging for the cross country skiing enthusiast. Whether you decide to relax or have an adventure, our staff will do their utmost to make your stay memorable!
The Dogsled takes you on a nice ride around Mirror Lake, which lasts about 10 minutes long. The cost runs between $6 - $12 per person depending on how many people go on the sled. Rides run on a first-come, first-serve so there is no need to call ahead to reserve.
