Directions to Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort

 

From New York City & New Jersey

Take the NY State Thruway (I-87) north to the Adirondack Northway heading toward Montreal. DO NOT HEAD TOWARDS BUFFALO! (Exit 24 in Albany). Follow 87 North to Exit 30. Take a left off of the off-ramp onto Rt. 9 North and follow it for two miles to Rt. 73. Continue on 73 for 26 miles to Lake Placid area. Turn left at the traffic light onto Main Street (which is also Rt. 86). You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/2 a mile up the road on the right just past the Olympic Arena.

From Montreal

Take Route 15 South to the Champlain Crossing, connect with I-87 South at the border. Take Exit 34 West, following Route 9N. Then follow Route 86 to the Whiteface Mountain/Lake Placid area. Continue straight through the traffic light. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/2 a mile up the road on the right just past the Olympic Arena.

From Ottawa

Head South to the Cornwall Bridge. Pick up Route 37 East to Malone. Follow Route 30 South to Paul Smiths College. Follow Route 86 to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Rt. 86 becomes Main Street in Lake Placid. Bear right at the bottom of the hill. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/4 mile ahead on the left opposite parking for Olympic Arena.

From Toronto

Take 401 East to the Cornwall Bridge. Pick up Route 37 East to Malone. Follow Route 30 South to Paul Smiths College. Follow Route 86 to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. From Boston, Springfield & Hartford

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Albany, NY. Pick up I-787 North to Cohoes. Connect with Route 7 West. Then get on I-87 North. Follow I-87 (the Northway) to Exit 30. Follow final directions above: "From New York City..."

From Buffalo, Rochester, & Syracuse

Take I-90 (NY State Thruway) East to Exit 36 (Syracuse). Pick up I-81 North and follow it to Watertown. Follow Route 3 East to Saranac Lake. Then get on Route 86 East to Lake Placid. Rt. 86 becomes Main Street in Lake Placid. Bear right at the bottom of the hill. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/4 mile ahead on the left opposite parking for Olympic Arena.

From the Adirondack Regional Airport (ADK)

Take a left out of the Airport. At the flashing light take a right heading toward Saranac Lake. Then get on Route 86 East to Lake Placid. Rt. 86 becomes Main Street in Lake Placid. Bear right at the bottom of the hill. You will see the Golden Arrow approximately 1/4 mile ahead on the left opposite parking for Olympic Arena.
