At the end of our summer in 2003, we returned to the Adirondacks for our last vacation of the year and found the Golden Arrow Resort. Our kids were very young at the time, and the beach was the perfect way to spend our first day. At the beach, a friendly young man working there noticed that our kids were a little shy,and asked  them to play some games. He spent the day with the kids making beaded bracelets, building sandcastles, fishing, and playing bingo for prizes. That day turned out to be one of the best times we've  ever had on a vacation.     The next day we discovered the pool at the Golden Arrow, which became another one of our favorite places. We have visited the Golden Arrow many times since then, and every time we arrive our kids have to make the tough decision of which to do first; the beach or the pool.
