 Last year my husband reserved a perfect weekend for our 30th Anniversary.  He booked one of your beautiful rooms with the hot tub overlooking the lake.  It snowed all weekend , it was like a Currier & Ives card.  We took the dogsled ride, such beautiful dogs, & it was so much fun.  After that we put on our snow shoes & walked all over the lake, it was awesome.  Then we strolled downtown, in the snow.  We went wine tasting, which was part of the hotel package, the people were great & we had a blast with them.  We went in & out of all the great shops & stopped in the Adirondack Brewing Company & sampled their great brews whiling soaking in the atmosphere.  Then it was back to the hotel for some hot tubbing & our view of the lake in winter.  It was truly a magical weekend & one we will never forget.  The staff at the hotel were so friendly & helpful, it enhanced the experience.  We love Lake Placid but this was perfect.
