Beach & Lake at Golden Arrow
An Eco-Friendly Beach & The Cleanest Water Around!
In summer, our private white sand beach provides an excellent place to relax and enjoy the outdoor Adirondack activities. With a magnificent panorama of the Adirondack Mountains, it’s never been easier. Children will love building sand castles. If you are feeling active you can explore the shoreline in a complimentary rowboat, canoe, kayak, paddle boat, or stand up paddle board. Mirror Lake does not permit motorized crafts on its waters, so swimmers can safely venture all the way across the lake if they choose. The motor ban also helps keep the waters of Mirror Lake pristine and clean.
Private Mirror Lake Gondola Cruise
Take a private gondola cruise, courtesy of Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort! Spend a truly unique time in our specially hand crafted wooden gondola. Handmade in Lake Como, Italy, the gondola is a truly unique way to see the village. Our charismatic gondoliers will reveal the secrets of Mirror Lake while you enjoy the view. Daytime, sunset and candlelit rides are available.
Please call to check availability. You may add wine, a fruit and cheese platter or chocolate-covered strawberries for an additional charge. Please ask when reserving.
The gondola seats up to 12 guests, but is intimate enough for two. Please ask your Reservations Specialist for details. Available seasonally from June through September only.
*The cost is $100 per couple and $25 for additional passengers. *
Winter: Mirror Lake Activities
In the snowy months, the beach is transformed into a winter wonderland. Bring your skates!
Rooms on the first floor become ski-in/ski-out lodging for the cross country skiing enthusiast. Or, experience the rush of a thrilling dog sled ride! The dogsled takes you on a nice 10-minute ride around Mirror Lake. The cost runs between $10 and $15 per person. Rides run on a first-come, first-serve so there is no need to call ahead to reserve! These rides are run by an independent operator so it is difficult for the Golden Arrow to guarantee when the dog sled rides will be here. Typically they begin whenever the lake freezes (usually around Christmas) and take place Thursday-Sunday from 10am-4pm.
