Lettuce visit an Adirondack Farmers’ Market!
All jokes aside, checking out one of the local farmers’ markets located in the High Peaks is a summer must!
There are three farmers’ markets in the area; one in Lake Placid, one in Saranac Lake, and one in Keene Valley.
High Peaks Farmers’ Market
The Saranac Lake and Lake Placid Farmers’ Markets are part of the High Peaks Farmers Markets.
Words fresh from the High Peaks Farmers’ Markets:
“The High Peaks Farmers’ Markets are the sole “producer-only” farmers’ markets in the eastern Adirondacks. At “producer-only” markets, the vendors can sell only items that they or their employees produce. Producer-only markets not only ensure integrity for our customers but also provide an environment that encourages local farmers and artisans to expand and diversify their production. Our farmers all follow organic or sustainable production practices.”
Lake Placid
The Lake Placid Farmers’ Market will take place from 9am – 1pm every Wednesday from July 2 – August 27, 2025. New this year, the Lake Placid Farmers’ Market will be located at the Olympic Oval, perfect for Golden Arrow guests to walk to!
The Lake Placid Farmers’ Market will have 20 vendors selling things like locally grown produce, organic meats, eggs, cheese, baked goods, and artisan crafts.
Some well-known vendors include Juniper Hill Farms, North Country Creamery, Mossbrook Roots Flower Farm, and Adirondack Natural Skincare.
- Sorry, dogs are not allowed at the Lake Placid Farmers' Market.

Saranac Lake
The Saranac Lake Farmers’ Market will take place from 9am –1pm every Saturday from May 17 – October 11, 2025. The Saranac Lake Farmers’ Market is located at Riverside Park (across from the Verizon store.) **MAP PHOTO** There are over 50 vendors at the Saranc Lake Farmers’ Market selling local produce, organic meats, eggs, cheese, baked goods, and crafts. Adirondack Farmers’ Market Cooperative
Words fresh from their website: “The Adirondack Farmers Market Cooperative, Inc. was incorporated to provide an economical marketplace to sell farm products, artisan wares, and baked goods. We offer vendors beautiful locations where they may congregate, sell their products, and interact with buyers. Consumers are provided a wide variety of unique, quality, locally produced items to purchase. Local Not for Profits are invited to share information, distribute literature, and encourage activities for the whole family. This in turn stimulates activities for merchants in the market area and benefits the whole community.
It is the intention and goal of the AFMC to support small family farms and artisans. The vast majority of farmers and artisans at markets rely on the sale from their farm products and/or creations as their main source of income. The success of the AFMC is sustained through the work of those individuals and families that make their passion and life work their primary profession.
Keene Valley
The Keene Valley Farmers’ Market is part of the Adirondack Farmers’ Market Cooperative (they also have markets in Elizabethtown, Malone, and Willsboro). It is every Sunday from 9:30am – 2pm from May 25 – October 12, 2025. The Keene Valley Farmers’ Market is located at Marcy Field in Keene Valley, about a 20-minute drive from the Golden Arrow. While it’s the furthest away, it is also the largest of the three we mentioned. Well-known vendors include Adirondack Kettle Korn, Blue Pepper Farm, Brady Brook Maple Farm, and JMG Woodworking.
