CANAM Rugby is a long-standing event in the Lake Placid and Saranac Lake communities

Considered one of the largest and best-run rugby events in the world. The inaugural event (1973) was an eight-team affair that quickly doubled and has since mushroomed into a mid-summer tradition with 110+ teams converging on the Adirondacks.

Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse is a yearly event in Lake Placid

Scholastic and adult divisions including a Men’s 70+ Division, a Women’s 35+ Division, many collegiate alumni teams, and the annual Legends of LP Lax Ceremony.

The Lake Placid Classic is a yearly event in Lake Placid

Originally started in 1970 as a marathon run from Paul Smiths to Lake Placid, this family-friendly race has evolved into a beloved annual event featuring the beautiful Olympic Village of Lake Placid and some of the most breathtaking fall scenery in the Adirondacks. Each year an average of 550 athletes gather together for this amazing community race to help raise funds for a local cause and to enjoy the splendor of racing during peak fall foliage.
