on Mirror Lake
The lake is best known as a rainbow trout fishery but offers some exceptional lake trout can be found down deep in the summer. It is best to use a flashy lure or bait fish. The spring Hexagenia hatch (large mayflies) can offer good fly fishing opportunities for rainbow trout. Great smallmouth bass fishing can also be had in the early morning or late evening. Watch out for the many swimmers! If you plan on fishing on Mirror Lake (or anywhere else in the Adirondacks) please follow the DEC guidelines.

Please note that water toys are available on a seasonal basis when the lake is warm enough.
