A photo of winter in Lake Placid

As other places die down for the winter, Lake Placid comes alive with one-of-a-kind adventures and attractions. Lake Placid winters are so spectacular that we have hosted the Winter Olympics twice! Winter sports are at the heart of the season, where you can ski the same slopes as Olympic athletes and cruise down famed bobsled tracks. But, Lake Placid winter activities offer more than our Olympic legacy; the frozen waters of Mirror Lake provide unique ways to celebrate the season. Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort is located on the shores of Mirror Lake, so you can easily go ice skating, skiing, and dog sledding from the resort. Join us for a memorable snowy getaway and read on to discover our favorite ways to get outside this winter.
